Glenda E. Franklin

Glenda E. Franklin has been a music educator in Georgia for 41 years with experience teaching middle and high school students in both public and private schools prior to her retirement in 2016.  In addition to her classroom teaching and church work, she has taught private studio piano, voice, and organ lessons.

During her teaching career, Franklin has served as conductor, adjudicator and/or accompanist for numerous district and state honor choruses, large group performance evaluations and Georgia All-State Chorus.  She is also an inaugural member of the professional women’s choir Lux which sings and tours under the direction of Dr. Ashley Conway and Mrs. Emily Allison.

Compositions written by Franklin have been featured on state and festival lists in Georgia as well as numerous other states.  Several of her compositions are current selections on the Georgia Large Group Performance Evaluation required music list.

Mrs. Franklin resides in Clarkesville, Georgia with her husband, Randy.  She is the proud mother of two children, Jacqueline and Joshua and grandmother of five, Owen, Raelyn, Britton, Nolan, and Henry.
